Meet
the Mannequins...
Nevada
County's premiere low-fi-pop-punk supergroup, the Mannequins, has been
called "the most intense group... ever..." by Jim Pilse of Underground
NOW!
Who
are these guys?
Well,
this is your chance the meet the Mannequins...
Nick
Guerrero - Vocals/Guitar
Best known for his solo career, Nick exploded onto the low-fi music circuit
in 1999 with his debut release "Mr. G." This was followed by
2001's "God Hasn't Blessed Me Yet," and his most recent self-produced
cd "Liability." Nick
is a songwriter, guitarist, photographer, cinematographer, poet, and screenwriter.
His work with the Mannequins allows him to explore the more visceral elements
of his considerable, and always-anxious, creative spirit.
Nico Bailey
- Drums/Vocals/Guitar
Nico is a self-taught drummer and guitarist with an innate ear for rhythm,
arrangement, and pop hook. As co-founder, and a principal songwriter for
the band, he contributes his own uniquely sensitive and empathic vulnerability
to the Mannequins tableau. This is Nico's introduction to the low-fi music
scene, and with his obvious talent for expression and passion, one thing
is clear: HE WAS BORN TO ROCK!
Jacob Gouveia - Bass/ Vocals/Guitar
Jacob is an accomplished bass player,
songwriter, actor, and DJ. When longtime friend Nico told him of the Mannequins
magic developing 3000 miles away, he moved from Brooklyn, NY. to join
the band in February 2002. Jacob brings considerable experience as "beatmaster"
in his own previously self-produced musical collages. His song "4
Feet Deep" has become a Mannequins standard. As
actor, Jacob has accepted a starring role in the upcoming Nick G. short
film, "SAVED."
